At Serenity Dental Spa, we are incredibly passionate about hygiene therapy, which is a large part of our preventative focus here at the practice. We offer lots of advice, treatments and techniques to ensure you are able to achieve the most effective oral hygiene habits day-to-day.
Classic Scale & Polish
A professional teeth cleaning and polishing is very important as we can clean hard-to-reach places where plaque and tartar tend to build. We will use specialised dental instruments to clean the area below the gum line and in between the teeth; and we will also polish and floss the teeth. A professional cleaning significantly reduces the risk of cavities, gum disease, and many other dental issues.
Airflow Polish
If you want a hi-tech version of the traditional scale and polish, this prophyflex power clean system fires a jet of compressed air, water and fine sodium bicarbonate particles at your teeth to polish the surface and remove anything that shouldn’t be there. It gives your teeth a thorough clean and removes stains to give you an instantly whiter smile without bleaching.
This highly effective stain removal treatment, removes stains caused by:
- Tea/Coffee
- Red wine
- Smoking
- Heavily-coloured food
This treatment is ideal for general smile maintenance, but also provides an excellent treatment to boost your smile before an important event like a party or holiday.
Periodontal Therapy & Maintenance
Our aim is to prevent and treat gum disease, which is now one of the leading causes of tooth loss in adults.
Ideally you should be visiting your hygienist every three months as they can spot any problems in between your trips to the dentist and can offer you much more than just a scale and polish.
Direct Access
This is a walk-in hygiene service for non-registered patients.
Our hygienists are able to see patients directly now, without the need for an initial dentist examination. This means lower waiting times for the treatment you want.
