Composite Bonding

Composite bonding is a popular cosmetic dental treatment used to improve the colour, shape and overall appearance of teeth. It is a wholly non-invasive and conservative treatment, where by using colour matched filling materials, we are able to change the shape and contour of a person’s teeth to create a beautiful smile.

These advanced bonding techniques can be used as part of a smile makeover or to repair chipped and damaged teeth.

This quick and pain-free treatment is very cost-effective and can be repeated as required with no damage to the teeth.

We recommend replenishing your composites every 3 years to keep them looking natural and flawless.

Teeth Veneers in Manchester

Veneers

Porcelain veneers are custom made porcelain that are used to cover the front surface of the tooth. Veneers are extremely versatile and can be used to close gaps, align crowding or protruding teeth, close gaps or whiten discoloured teeth.

A veneer takes at least two visits. The first is to prepare the tooth and match the shade, and the second is to fit it. Before bonding it in place, your dentist will show you the veneer on your tooth to make sure you are happy with it. Bonding a veneer in place is done with a special adhesive, which holds it firmly on the tooth.

The lifetime of your veneers is subject to your dental care routine, your lifestyle and the kind of veneer you have had fitted. Well-cared for porcelain veneers can last between 10-20 years, however, they can chip or break just as easily as regular teeth if you’re not careful to avoid damage.

Bridges

A bridge is a fixed replacement for one or more missing teeth. They literally bridge the gap created by missing teeth. The neighbouring teeth will need to be trimmed down to support the bridge.

They are both aesthetic and functional, restoring your natural bite and preventing movement of adjacent teeth and over eruption of the tooth opposite the gap.

They are a very desirable alternative to a removable partial denture.

If you take good care of your dental bridge, it should generally last for about 10 years, or perhaps longer. Like natural teeth, bridges need to be brushed and flossed every day.
